The Institut Kodaly Francophone is a tax-exempt Swiss foundation under private law.
The foundation was established in October 2007 and is headquartered in Geneva.
The institute's activities extend beyond the borders of the canton of Geneva, as it is open to all those interested in Kodaly pedagogy.
Its Board of Trustees includes members from Switzerland, France and Belgium.
In keeping with Kodaly's principle that “music belongs to everyone”, and based on his pedagogical concept, the mission of the Institut Kodaly Francophone is to honor the work of Zoltan Kodaly throughout the French-speaking world, and to offer appropriate access to all.
The nstitut Kodaly Francophone opens its music school in France, at Collonges sous Salève (74160) in the exceptional setting of the Campus adventiste du Salève and in partnership with the Ensemble scolaire Maurice Tièche.
